QuickBooks Compatibility Overview

Note: We're in the beta stage of a new integration between Toast Payroll and QuickBooks Online. If you're looking for how to integrate these two systems without xtraCHEF, select the link to discover the feature and check if you're eligible to join the beta. Keep in mind that this integration only includes payroll data syncing.

xtraCHEF's integration with QuickBooks allows you to automate time-consuming portions of your accounts payable process. By connecting the two systems, you're able to automatically:

• Extract reconciled invoices to QuickBooks as bills.
• Sync your daily sales to QuickBooks as journal entries.
• Sync your payroll to QuickBooks as a journal entry (QuickBooks Online only).

Before taking advantage of these features, you will need to first set up and integrate your QuickBooks services. However, it's important to note that not every version of QuickBooks is compatible with xtraCHEF.

	QuickBooks Online Essentials	This version of QuickBooks supports integrations and is compatible with xtraCHEF.
	QuickBooks Online Plus	This version of QuickBooks supports integrations and is compatible with xtraCHEF.
	QuickBooks Online Advanced	This version of QuickBooks supports integrations and is compatible with xtraCHEF.

QuickBooks Desktop Versions

Unlike the online (cloud-based) versions of QuickBooks, the desktop versions require the use of Intuit's Web Connector to transfer data between your local desktop file and xtraCHEF. Read on to review compatible versions of QuickBooks Desktop.
 

Compatibility	Version Name	Description
/	QuickBooks Desktop (versions prior to 2015)	This version of QuickBooks does not support Intuit's web connector. However, IIF transfers can be configured to support xtraCHEF.
/	QuickBooks Desktop for Mac OS	This version of QuickBooks does not support Intuit's web connector. However, IIF transfers can be configured to support xtraCHEF.
	QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise	This version of QuickBooks supports Intuit's web connector and is compatible with xtraCHEF.
	QuickBooks Desktop for PC	Pro, Pro Plus, Premier, and Premier Plus versions of QuickBooks Desktop for PC support Intuit's web connector and are compatible with xtraCHEF.
