Toast Retail: Supported Barcode Label Sizes

Question

What size barcodes can I print from Toast Web for my retail items?

Answer

You can format and print barcode labels with Toast Retail. Supported label sizes include:

  • 0.75" x 0.375"
  • 1" x 1.5" 
  • 1.25" x .85”
  • 1.5" x 1”
  • 2Up ½ x 1" 
  • 2.10" x 0.5"
  • 2.125” x 1”
  • 2.25” x 1”
  • 2.25"  x 0.5” (a "barbell label") 
  • 2.5" x 0.75"
  • 3” x 1” (a "shelf label")
  • 98% scale width (Dymo 30299, barbell label)

 

For items with long names, all labels will wrap up to two lines before the text is clipped, as shown in the example below:

Note: When you print a label from the Toast Retail module, it will prompt you to utilize your computer’s installed printer drivers. Toast does not sell barcode label printers. Any label printer will be installed on and connected to a computer (not to the POS system). Dymo and Zebra have several printer options available that create labels in these supported sizes, including the Dymo LabelWriter 550/450, the Zebra ZSB-12, and the Zebra 410.
