How do I update the language on my Toast Printing Hub (TP300)?

Answer

Follow the steps below to update the language for your Toast Printing Hub (TP300) so receipts and tickets print the correct language and special characters.


Update the Printing Hub (TP300) Language from Toast Mobile

  1. Open the Toast POS app.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Printer Setup.
  3. Select the appropriate printer.
  4. Tap Character Set.
  5. Select the preferred language option.


Update the Toast Printing Hub (TP300) Language from Toast Web

  1. Log in to Toast Web.
  2. Navigate to Payments > Checks & Receipt Setup > Printers and Cash Drawers.
  3. Select the appropriate printer.
  4. Choose the preferred language option for Character Set.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Select Publish Now to apply the changes. Note: Changes will not take effect until you publish.

 

Available Languages on the Toast Printing Hub (TP300)

  • Standard (Most Languages)
    • Supports languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese
  • Standard + Simplified Chinese
  • Standard + Traditional Chinese
  • Standard + Japanese
  • Standard + Korean

 

Each printer can use Standard on its own, or Standard combined with one additional option: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.


Note: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cannot be combined with one another. Any language supported under Standard can be used together with one of these options.
