Optimize Online Ordering Dashboard Controls

Use the Toast Online Ordering dashboard to quickly update your order volume and quote time settings for takeout/pickup and delivery orders.

To find the Online Ordering dashboard, navigate to the Takeout & delivery page using the navigation on the left side of your screen in Toast Web.

Once on the page, you will be able to do the following with the dashboard:

Turn On; Snooze (pause) for 20 or 40 minutes

When snoozed, your Online Ordering page will display the following message, and guests won't be able to order.

Turn Off Online Ordering; Turn Off Online Ordering until tomorrow

When turned off, your Online Ordering page will display the following message, and guests won't be able to order.

When you select Snooze until tomorrow it will display the following message in Toast Web.

When you select Off it will display the following message in Toast Web.

Add a delay to Takeout (pickup) orders in 5-minute increments

Add a delay to delivery orders (self-managed delivery) in 5-minute increments

Turn off delivery (self-managed delivery or Toast Delivery Services) orders

When delivery is turned off, your Online Ordering page will not display the delivery option.

If your restaurant uses Toast Delivery Services® and you would like to add a delay, you will need to add a Takeout delay to adjust the quote time for Toast Delivery Services®. The takeout/pickup quote time will adjust automatically as a result.

Changes made to the settings for Toast Online Ordering using the drop-down will automatically be saved and published to your Online Ordering page/Local by Toast.

Changes made by adding a delay or toggling delivery on/off will need to be published to apply to your Online Ordering page/Local by Toast.

You will also need the following permissions enabled for these controls to appear in your account: Restaurant Operations Setup, Throttle Online Orders, and Publishing.
