There are a multitude of reports in Toast Web, and it's important to learn which ones are best to use when monitoring your restaurant's operations and performance in a weekly, monthly, or quarterly (and possibly even yearly) cadence. In this article, we've highlighted various reports, how to use them, and how to access them.

| Sales Summary | The Sales Summary is a comprehensive report that breaks down sales data for the selected date range showing restaurants a full financial picture of how the business is doing on a day-to-day basis. | Use this report to compare sales, discounts, refunds, and other data points week-over-week or to a previous period (month, quarter, or year). | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Sales > Sales summary, or select Sales summary from the Quick Actions section on the homepage.

| Sales Breakdown | The Sales Breakdown report can be used to compare two different sales metrics against each other, including:
| Use this report to track sales by service area and learn what sales categories have the highest numbers in net sales for those areas on a monthly basis. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Sales > Sales breakdown.

| Location Breakdown | This report is a resource for single location or multi-location restaurants that would like to compare and analyze sales data filtered by a variety of metrics. | Use this report to compare multiple locations and find areas of opportunity for each restaurant. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Sales > Location breakdown. | Product Mix | This report shows a comprehensive sales breakdown for your menu. | Use this Product Mix report to monitor sales for menus, groups or specific items and find areas of opportunities for your menu. Using the Product Mix Compare report, compare two or more locations on a weekly or monthly cadence. These reports are useful when making changes to your restaurant's menu. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Menus > Product mix. Select the date range for the report. |
| Menu Breakdown | With this report, see detailed sales metrics for items, modifiers, and special requests. | This report is great in providing a snapshot of your menu's performance across all of the restaurant group's locations for the time period selected. This report is specifically useful in learning what special requests are consistently input for each item and what Open Items are commonly rung in. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Menus > Menu breakdown. | Labor Summary | This report is the most important labor report for a restaurant. Here, you can see hours worked, overtime, and pay. | Use this report in a weekly or bi-weekly cadence for payroll purposes and make sure time entries are correct for the pay period. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Labor > Labor summary. | Hourly Sales | The Hourly Sales Report breaks down sales and labor costs in 15-minute intervals. | This report is very helpful in determining whether your restaurant is over or under-staffed when building your schedule for the week or month. To find the total labor % for the day or week, make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and look at the Total row. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Labor > Hourly sales. | Settled Deposits Daily Breakdown | This report provides an itemized and detailed list of credit card batches for the date range selected. | This report can help you reconcile deposits in a weekly or monthly cadence. Restaurants can easily view daily credit card deposits and total sales by date, chargebacks, and refunds. Note: Check out this Support Center article, Deposit Schedules Overview, to learn more. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Payments > Settled deposits daily breakdown. | Deposit Totals Overview | This report provides insight into settled credit card batches, a view into processing rates and fees per credit card processor, and any pending batches. | Use this report to check on any pending batches when reconciling on a weekly basis. | In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Payments > Deposit totals overview.
