How can I view employees who have not yet made benefit elections in the Toast Payroll Classic Benefits module (legacy customers only)?

This article only applies to customers who are using Toast Payroll's Classic Benefits module (legacy customers only). This does not apply to SimplyInsured customers through Toast Payroll Pro or customers who use the deductions-only method.

 

 

 

Take a quick look at how the Pending Enrollments tab works.

 

The Pending Enrollments tab of the Classic Benefits dashboard can be used to view all employees assigned to an eligible Benefit Tier who have not yet made their elections in Toast Payroll. Once an employee submits their elections, their record will automatically transfer to the Enrollment Results tab of the Benefits Dashboard.


If an employee has not been assigned to an eligible Benefit Tier, they will not appear on this page. Take a look at how to offer benefits to employees if you need to add someone here, or read on to discover key terms and functions of this page.

 

  • Plan Year Start: You may change the plan year start drop-down to view past, present, and future benefits based on their plan year start date.
  • Enrollment Type: You may change the enrollment type drop-down to be All or just New Hires, which automatically filters to the new hires from the last three months.
  • Sort By: You may sort by the effective date, employee name, or date of hire.
  • Filtering: Each section in the main header row may be filtered out. To filter, select the box you desire to filter by and choose the parameters of that column. You may search for an employee by inputting their name in the search box above the employee column.
  • Nudge: This Blue time clock button - Nudge feature feature sends notifications to employees about their pending benefit eligibility.
  • Edit: This Yellow edit pencil feature is a shortcut to update elections on an employee's behalf. Learn more about manually updating employee elections in Toast Payroll: Update Elections and Qualifying Events.
  • Note: Employees may have a Red warning icon next to their name. This icon represents any employee who has an effective date less than seven days away, or their effective date is in the past. Selecting the Blue + icon icon will display which benefits have not yet been submitted.
