Configure Payment Options

Learn how to configure various payment methods on your Toast POS, including mobile payments, cash, credit, and gift card / loyalty.

Configure Payment Options in Toast Web

Users with the required permissions can configure payment options in Toast Web by navigating to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options. On this page, you'll be able to adjust the following configurations:
 

  • Mobile payments - Enable or disable the mobile payments option, which allows guests to pay their check with their phone by scanning a QR code on the receipt. 
  • Cash - Select basic receipt options. Learn more about basic receipt configuration in this Support Center article, Configure Your Receipts.
  • Credit - Configure credit payment options, including:
    • Signature Threshold: to show signatures for orders at or above a certain dollar amount
    • Print Receipt Threshold: to automatically print receipts for orders at or above a certain dollar amount
    • Background Processing of Transactions: to take credit and debit card payments during Offline Mode. This is enabled by default. We recommend that businesses review the available configuration options proactively.     • Digital Receipt Options: for guest-facing receipt screens. Learn more in this Support Center article, Configure Digital Receipts.
  • Gift Card/LevelUp - Set options for gift card sales and payments.
