Learn about the configuration limitations for Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub, Deliveroo and Skip.
| Please contact the third-party integration partner directly for questions about how the limitations listed in this article impact your menus on their platforms. |
You can now limit your menu visibility so that some menus are only visible to select third-party online ordering partners. This means that on the menu level, you'll have the ability to select which partners will have access to that particular menu. To learn more, see this Support Center article: .
Performing pricing increases for modifiers can be more difficult than adjusting menu items. For efficiency, some modifiers may not have the requested pricing adjustment. The Toast Care team can assist with specific modifier pricing adjustments that need to be performed. Check out increasing pricing in .
Be sure to complete any modifier groups you create, as empty modifier groups may cause sync issues. You can identify any potential issues through the menu audit tool.
Note: Due to the complexity and limitations of the multi-location management tool, location-specific pricing, and menu-specific pricing, we will not perform pricing adjustments for some multi-location management restaurants dependent upon the configuration. If this is the case for your account, please contact the Toast care team with the needed pricing adjustment request.
Nested modifiers should only be configured to be two layers deep. The hierarchy threshold would go as follows: Modifier Group > Option > Modifier Group > Option > Modifier Group > Option. Anything deeper will cause syncing issues for your menu.
Some of our partners do not currently support items using the 'time specific pricing' model (where items can adjust in price based on time of day or day of the week) to the point that they may cause orders to fail. Because of this, items using timed pricing may be adjusted to not be available on the partner menus. Note that the ordering partner will determine the store hours displayed on their platform. For more information, see .
Guests cannot add to orders from ordering integrations.
Due to some partners not correctly displaying subgroups in a menu, some Toast menus will have a hierarchy where subgroups have been removed and adjusted to higher levels of the menu structure. That structure is Main Menu > Group > Item. In these instances, copies of the main menus will be created specific to the partners.
Note: Empty menu groups may cause sync issues.
Due to some partners not supporting the sale of alcoholic items on their platform, in some cases, items explicitly indicating their alcoholic properties will be made unavailable via the partner's visibility tool. Users with menu editing permissions in Toast can adjust all menu objects for visibility via this tool. Consult with your integration partner if you do not know the status of the sale of alcohol through third-party ordering platforms for your state.”
